1. A use the governor control switch to adjust the incoming voltage so it is equal to the bus voltage
2. B use the governor control switch to increase the speed of the machine on the line only
3. C close the circuit breaker when the synchroscope pointer approaches the 0° position
4. D use the field rheostat to adjust the speed of the incoming  machine
