1. A Press the brushes against the slip ring with a wood block.
2. B Apply seating compound under the brushes and run at no load for 2 hours.
3. C Increase brush pressure and run at no load for 3 to 4 hours.
4. D Lay sandpaper between the brush and the slip ring and slide the sandpaper back and forth under the brush.
