1. A Adjust squelch control to the minimum level necessary to barely suppress any background noise.
2. B Always adjust squelch control to its maximum level.
3. C Always adjust squelch control to its minimum level.
4. D Adjust squelch control to approximately twice the minimum level necessary to barely suppress any background noise.
