1. A Automatic or manual updating of the LES code only needs to be done when switching to a different ocean region satellite.
2. B The SAR jurisdiction software automatically updates the “hot-key” menu based on the vessel’s position.
3. C The LES code is determined by the NAVAREA based on the vessel’s current position.
4. D The LES code must be updated by the officers depending upon the SAR jurisdictions the vessel transits and current ocean region satellite in use.
