GMDSS: Element 7

1. A No immediate action is required, as an audible tone will be generated at the beginning and end of the transmission and a paper printout of the message will be generated.
2. B Aural and visual alarms are activated, and require manual deactivation.
3. C No immediate action is required by the operator, since the transmission will be automatically acknowledged by the receiving vessel.
4. D A periodic alarm tone will be heard until the radio operator prints the message from the unit's memory.
