1. A The fire pumps may be used for other purposes provided at least one of the pumps is kept available for use on the fire main system at all times.
2. B Fire pumps shall have a minimum capacity of at least one-third of that required for an independent bilge pump.
3. C Each pump shall be capable of delivering water simultaneously from the two highest outlets at a Pitot tube pressure of approximately 25 psi.
4. D The total area of the pipes leading from a pump shall be less than the discharge area of the pump.
