Engine 2014: Motor Plants and Auxiliary Boilers

1. A They must be fitted with a backfire flame arrester constructed in accordance with the specification regulations.
2. B They cannot be located any closer than six inches from flammable materials such as woodwork, etc.
3. C They may be water- jacketed and cooled by the discharge from a pump which operates only when the engine is running.
4. D They must be fitted with one inch thick asbestos board and  covered with #26 USCG galvanized sheet iron.
