1. A The valve must be wide open all the time until the  boiler is on the line.
2. B The valve may be closed when all air is vented.
3. C The valve may be partially throttled as the pressure increases until the boiler is on the line at which time it is closed.
4. D The valve need only be open if the superheater temperature approaches 850°F.
