1. A Begin water washing while the brickwork is still warm.
2. B Begin the washing above the economizer and work down.
3. C Assure that the water stream impinges directly on the refractory to avoid tube damage.
4. D Dry the boiler by firing all burners at high rates to evaporate moisture rapidly.
