1. A Continuous blast of the whistle for not less than 10 seconds supplemented by the continuous ringing of the general alarm bells for not less than 10 seconds.
2. B Continuous blast of the whistle for not less than 3 seconds supplemented by the continuous ringing of the general alarm bells for not less than 3 seconds.
3. C General alarm sounded 3 times supplemented by 3 short blasts of the whistle.
4. D A succession of more than 6 short blasts followed by 1 long blast of the whistle supplemented by a comparable signal on the general alarm.
