Engine: Steam Plants

1. A Secure all drains prior to admitting any steam to avoid damage to traps.
2. B Keep the steam exhaust valve closed until steam is applied to ensure that the auxiliary exhaust line pressure does not drop.
3. C Keep the pump casing vent valve closed until flow is established through the pump.
4. D Open the pump suction valve prior to admitting steam to the turbine.
