1. A Replacement with another nut locking device is unnecessary.
2. B Flat locks are no longer used in the marine industry and should be replaced during the next maintenance procedure.
3. C Bellevue washers are the ideal substitute for these locking devices provided a thread locking adhesive is used.
4. D When torque values of 25 foot pounds or greater are being used, replacement with spring washers is mandatory.
