1. A turn off the unit, contact the local branch of the Federal Communications Commission and report the incident
2. B turn off the unit, press and hold the RESET button continuously for 30 seconds
3. C turn off the unit, once the power is secured for three minutes the alert is self-cancelling
4. D turn off the unit, contact the US Coast Guard and request that they contact the Rescue Coordination Center
