1. A Check the magnetic compass for the correct deviation
2. B Have a copy of Radio Navigational Aids in the pilot house
3. C Test the primary and secondary steering systems no more than 8 hours before entering
4. D Correct the charts of the area to be transited using the Notice(s) to Mariners or equivalent reasonably available
