Help, hurricane dorrian just went clockwise, and inward due to the Gulf Stream. Is this an anomaly?

Dorian's track was a clockwise semi circle. however dorians rotation around the eye of the storm was counter clockwise and as it's a low pressure system the winds were also inward towards it's own eye.
