1. A The turnbuckle should be secured with a stick or lock nuts.
2. B The lashings should be inspected each day and any slack taken up.
3. C The amount of take-up is limited by the length of the turnbuckle.
4. D At the grab (pear) link, the slack end of chain should be led back and secured to the chain above the link.
