DDE1,000 to 4,000 F.O.WT what should I study ?

I am attempting to test for the dde 1,000 to 4,000. I have taken a Fireman /oiler/water tender class at North East maritime and hope to study for the DDE without paying $4K for another class. Any info about what to study would HELP. Thanks

Mariner Advancement and Hawspiper thumb drives appear to be very accurate. They're about $100 each.
