Ok so what is your current heading????? Stupid question!!!!! I can only see this vessel as either traveling northwest or west given that you apparently don’t know your own direction according to how the question is worded.
Easiest way I found to do these problems is draw them out, then compare each answer for the best answer. Your current heading doesn't matter to solve the question, so I just draw it like I bear 000.
For a vessel headed 090 bearing 315 from me, I would expect just a green sidelight; for the other wrong answers, I would more likely expect to see just a stern light, compared to the correct answer (the answer where the vessel's most likely to show exactly what I'm seeing).

this is how I do these problems: reciprocal heading to 315 is 135. to see the red light I must be 0-112.5 degrees of that vessel. therefore, the range is 135-247. 225 fits within that range.
You don't need to know your vessels heading if they give you the bearing
