It says "in addition to the regular anchor signals," which in this case would be "three strokes of the bell before and after a ringing of the bell." duh! haha. Should be D. |

@GLIKSFRAU Because it is required by law, see Rule 35(h) and good practice by seamen. If you cannot see the vessel and you hear the signal and understand that it is aground you both have a warning to the condition and the cognizance that the vessel is unable to maneuver in any way. I'd also be interested so I can avoid the hazard that caused the grounding. |
