| The OET, or the Occupational English Test, is developed especially for individuals in the medical field as this is meant for professionals who need to take an English proficiency test in a context relevant to their work. Unlike other Language Tests, OET test is a test of medical language, so suitable for doctors, nurses, dentists and other healthcare professionals intending to work in English-speaking countries. It provides practical tasks related to the four language abilities of healthcare workers: disclosure of clinical information to patients, comprehension of discussions related to treatment plans, formulation of written correspondence in relation to patients, and discussion about patients with colleagues or other healthcare professionals. | |
